Information:

This work was handcarved in Pacific Northwest Redwood Burl.  This wood involves a complex woodgrain and has many inconstancies and flexes. This piece of wood was chosen because of its natural characteristic. Brian used his artistic vision with his creative skill to include fish found in Colorado lakes and rivers.

Species of fish include (from left to right) Brown Trout, Greenback Cutthroat, Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Cutthroat Trout. All nymphs and flies depicted in the sculpture are mayflies.
